About

I am a Temple University alum that has spent my entire life in the greater Philadelphia area.  I live, eat, and breathe Philly sports.  Ever since I can remember I have been watching the Phils, Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers.  Whether they were winning or not.  I grew up during the days of Scott Rolen, Curt Schilling, Ray Rhodes, Eric Lindros, and Allen Iverson.  I’ve seen some terrible seasons, horrendous plays, and heartbreaking losses but my dedication has never wavered.  I remember the devastation after the Flyers lost a 3-1 series lead to the Devils in the 2000 Eastern Conference Finals.  I can’t forget the feeling of Ronde Barber returning a ghastly pick by Donovan McNabb in the final game at the Vet.  But it hasn’t all been heartbreak.  There was ’04 NFC Championship game where the Birds finally made it over the hump.  But the Lombardi Trophy wasn’t meant for Philadelphia that year.  And how can we forget the unbelievable run by Allen Iverson and that ragtag bunch of Sixers in 2001?  Or the unlikely 09-10 Flyers making the postseason on the final day of the regular season, before dominating  on route to an eventual Final’s loss to Chicago.  But the most memorable run has to be the ’08 Phils.  The only team in my lifetime to actually reach the top of the mountain.  I will forever cherish these memories and the thousands of others that have been created by my beloved Philadelphia teams.  Sport is ingrained in the psyche of Philadelphians.  We connect with the athletes, the coaches, and most importantly, other fans.  Because our teams are a part of our family.  And that will never change.
